17th June 2010: 3D Gaming, Playstation Move and Playstation Plus Details plus Little Big Planet 2 and Top Gear and The Stig in Gran Turismo 5

At the Sony Press Conference Sony launched a triple assault on gaming with 3D games, Playstation Move and Playstation Plus

The Playstation Move will launch on various dates all around the world, Europe - September 14th, USA - September 19th and Japan - October 21st. Games such as the newly announced Sorcery and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011 (All fine and well, but unless I have a lot of friends playing this I won't be going near it nor any other motion control stuff. I am however intrigued by the news of Heavy Rain being playable with Move. That does sound like something I could get into.)

Playstation Plus will have many extras on top of the regular Playstation Network service, they include free PSN (including PS1 games and minis) games for the duration of your membership, exclusive discounts on the playstation store, custom themes and avatars and early access to demos videos and beta trials. Prices for the USA are $17.99 for 90 days or $49.99 for a full year. Prices for the UK are £11.99 for 90 days or £39.99 for a full year. (I'm doubtful about this service to begin with. The content available is what will convince or unconvince me. I'm certainly not going to be desparate to play Wipeout HD any time soon.)

One of the games to be released in 3D the long delayed Gran Turismo 5 will be coming on November 2nd 2010. the trailer features some very nice graphics, the Top Gear test track and the ability to play as The Stig (Top Gear involvement means I'm sold on this game already I had fun with GT5: Prologue as I recall. But it was so long a go, I hope they've got more tricks up their sleeves than the 3D aspect.)

E3 2010: Little Big Planet 2 gameplay demo - Giant Bomb (This is what I'm looking forward to the most, the ability to create RPGs and RTS games with cinematic scenes on top of everything Little big Planet 1 was excites me greatly. November 2010 can't come sooner.)

12th June 2010: E3 2010 Sony Updates page is a go (Facts go outside of the brackets, my opinion goes in them)
