What If Other Video Game Franchises Used The Decision System Of Dragon Age: Origins #4 - Street Fighter Franchise

What if Ryu gave in to evil?
Option 1: Live the life of the wandering warrior, hunted down by those who would use it for evil.
Option 2: Use the Satsui no Hadou inside you and see where it goes, leading to a path of destruction or slavery.
Outcome
- "A much better story in the Street fighter universe!"
How would this change Street Fighter as it's known today?

Street fighter V. People rush to buy the game and check out the differences from Super IV to V. And then you realise that Ryu isn't there, it's Street Fighter III all over again. In his place is a dark figure, upon which you discover it's Evil Ryu instead. The fact that Ryu chose this path can only sent the story in a bitter place than stop Bison/Seth/Gill and Shadaloo/SIN/Illuminati.
A shift from evil corporations to the Akuma/Gouken/Satsui no Hadou storyline would be a nice change. Even my favourite Bison storyline involved him and Evil Ryu in Street fighter Alpha 2. While the Shoto characters are fighting each other the Bison, Guile and Charlie can finally be resolved. If Charlie is still alive then I don't doubt that he would be welcomed back in SFV.
The drawback to this is that the game-play will be even more focused on Shoto characters. While the story changes would be a nice touch, it's the fighting mechanics that all gamers play the Street Fighter games for. Removing Ryu would cause an uproar, legendary gamer Daigo certainly wouldn't be pleased to see the character he mained throughout SFIV disappear because of the single-player story.
Luckily I have thought of a way that the game-play and story can be satisfied. it's no secret that Bison makes a lot of clone bodies. From Cammy, to Abel and the many Seths that he made. You can have Evil Ryu as a rogue clone and Ryu as his usual self. If you want to take it one step further what if Bison transferred his soul into this clone Ryu, making an all-new "Psycho-Ryu." The potential is limitless and if only a small amount of time was give into the story than the game's single player would look as good as the SFIV and SSFIV trailers have suggested over the last two years.
