1.0 - Introduction
I have always been a fan of fighting games, my favourite games include Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection Online, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter IV and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. They all have their positives and negatives. My idea is to combine their best aspects with my own spin on things to create my ideal Beat-em Up.

3.1 - Modes Menu Concept
My problem with the offline modes of beat-em ups these days is that single player modes and storylines become an afterthought compared to online play, tier lists and tournaments. And why shouldn't they? Stories have become nothing more than arcade modes with a few pretty pictures. Each character's story is so loosely intertwined with each other that it hardly seems worth it. Then you have the extra modes that are largely ignored like Survival and Time Attack.

What I propose is to centre the story around an event in which one group of characters must battle another. This story-mode will feature battles that incorporate survival matches in situations where in the story one character would battle many in order to give other characters time to get away from a seemily hopeless situation. In time attack's case it would be something similar which would involve defeating enemies in order to prevent something or save someone.
If then you want to play survival or time attack separately you can find them in "offline" mode where they aren't cluttering up the menu.
