Whiskey Media
Giant Bomb Anime Vice Comic Vine Tested

Whiskey Media is responsible for the creation of four websites that I now visit daily, Giant Bomb, Comic Vine, Anime Vice, and Tested.
Each one has a small editorial team that produce top quality reviews and videos, with a small focus on reporting important news that's relevant to them rather than reporting everything big and small as so many do it already.
They also feature wiki-databases in which users are free to create and edit characters, concepts, franchises and more.

Everyone who has even the slightest knowledge about Video Game websites and Gaming Journalists knows the story of Jeff Gerstmann's departure from his previous job.
But if it wasn't for it happening Giant Bomb would've never existed. Now Jeff, Ryan Davis, Vinny Caravella and Brad Shoemaker (featuring Drew Scanlon and Dave Snider) provide one of the best gaming editorial experiences on the net.
Check out the 10-40 minute narrated Quick Looks of the latest games to the Giant Bombcast (every Tuesday evening) and in-office unboxing of whatever is sent with comical results.

Anime Vice is the anime, manga and Japanese culture themed "Whiskey powered" site. In something of a rare occurence the Dev team had a web template ready but no idea what to do with it.
Enter Gia Manry, anime freelance writer extraordinaire, who was hired as the Editor-in-chief and has done a brilliant job writing great articles and starring in videos such as 3-minute expert and Quick Picks. As well as securing deals with CrunchyRoll and Hulu to stream anime episodes on the site and uploading the Anime Vice Squadcast on Wednesdays.
Backed up by part-time writers John Martone, "GodLen" and video producer Ana, Anime Vice now has the bodies and brains to fill everyone's anime needs.

The original site and the eldest of the four, Comic Vine was created by Ethan "Red L.A.M.P." and Dave Snider and worked on massively by Tony "G-Man", later hiring Sara "Babs."
Along with part time writer Mat "inferiorego" Elfring, a lot of content has been pumping out of the site towards the end of 2009 with hundreds of comic video reviews uploaded and the Comic Vine Podcast on Fridays.
Now that they have their own video producer, Kane, Comic Vine is getting creative with the Stand-up Comics, Lucky Seven and Weekly News shows

Tested is all about the latest tech brought to you by Will 'not that one' Smith and Norman Chan.
When you're not listening to the This is only a Test podcast you can check out their abundant iPad, eReader and PC coverage, as well as video reviews and first looks at the latest releases. All can be found in the video section.

General
Kojima Productions PSM3 Magazine Newgrounds

The Metal Gear Solid franchise is my favourite gaming series, I can play MGS1, 2, 3 and 4 all day long. There are so many storys and characters, and the creator of it all maybe just as well known. Hideo Kojima is one of the most recognised faces of the gaming world and people from all over the world made the jump to live in Japan for the sake of working for Kojima Productions. Version 2 of the Kojima Productions Report podcast may not be as frequent, lengthy or as good to listen to these days but the original version, hosted by Ryan Payton (the star of the MGS4 special edition Blu-Ray extra disc) was golden and a must-listen every week. You can find updates about the current version on their twitter page.

Gaming publications may be all but dead in the USA but in the UK they're as strong as they were five and ten years a go. PSM3 (formerly PSM2, when the Playstation 2 was the console of choice) is and has been the only gaming magazine I buy every month.
It's an unofficial, unbiased view at the world of video games put together by six witty gents. Featuring a Blu-Ray full of trailers and video reviews by Kim Richards (New Media Editor) and a monthly podcast full of gaming debate, joking around and Zippy impressions. For more info follow PSM3 and frequent tweeter Andy Kelly (Acting Features Editor).

Newgrounds has become massive since starting in 1995. Today it is the home for anyone hoping to get their flash-created games, movie-shorts and music on the net.
Featuring all sorts of great content from parodies like Metal Gear Awesome to games based on popular franchises like Epic Battle Fantasy 1 and 2 to the very best in creative uses of existing sprites from games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Mario and Sonic.
